Crispin James c1957

Taken in Steam Mills. He was at the time living with his parents Leeyson James of Yorkley and Ruth James together with his grandparents Stanley James and Bernice James who lived together in the Steam Mills general stores and grocers which was situated the first property on the right just past the garage as you enter Steam Mills from Cinderford. The house in the background stood alone on open land behind the properties on the right again as you entered from Cinderford and was in fact 3 dwelling houses one of which was occupied at the time by a Mrs Cooke and her son Gerald whom I remember playing with on our summer holidays every year through the late fifties and early sixties.
