Ann Mary Rook

Ann Mary Rook

Ann Mary Rook (nee Adams) born March 1822, (in or near the Forest of Dean,
Monmouth or Lydney), died Poughkeepsie New York, December 29th 1900.

She was the wife of Charles J Rook (1824-1854). Both emigrated to Poughkeepsie,
New York on The Cosmo arriving in New York in May 1848. She came back a decade
later for a short visit with her only surviving son, Charles Joseph Rook to
collect an inheritance before returning there. Two of her brothers also
emigrated to the same area (New York and Pennsylvania). I have a copy of her
obituruary as well as that of her son Charles Joseph who died 21 years later.
