Band formed in 1923 by M E Childs. Was known as Lydbrook Junior Reed and Brass Band

This must be one of the first potographs of the band but not sure of the date. In 1933 it was the Lydbook Onward All Braass Band.

Neville Barnett, one of Dad's (Ernest Wilce) best friends was playing a Reed in this photograph. From 1925 Neville Barnett was principal cornetist, so this photograph must be 1923-4.

Up until war broke out they went all over the country, up to Crystal Palace (before it was burnt) winning cups.
