Alfred John Wintle 1837-1895. He was the proprietor of A. J. Wintle & Sons, at Bill Mills (near Weston-Under-Penyard) and lived at Ryefield House. He married Ellen Ann Clarke of Oxenhall. They had 5 children, including Thomas Clarke Wintle 1866-1945 who inherited the business at Bill Mills.
