This scene should be either Vauxhall Hotel (Beatrice worked there prior to marriage), Barton Street, Gloucester, or The Labour Club (Harry Holder was Steward prior to marriage), Gloucester. If this is Vauxhall Hotel the garden is now the car park.

Beatrice and Harry were licensee's of Noah's Ark in Ross On Wye in 30's/40's at least.

Children sitting on ground L-R Lester J. Griffiths born 1918 thought to be living, Jack Griffiths born 1917 died young and Irene A. Griffiths born 1915. These children of Allen and Edith A. Griffiths.

Note 1. This lady should be Hannah Griffiths/Richings of Soudley born 1863, widow of William Griffiths 1862-1904, mother of Beatrice, Lilian, Allen and Wilfred E. Griffiths. She and the next lady, Emily Virgo/Richings would be sisters. The dress and body language suggests relationship. However, Hannah does not appear in William Griffiths' Censuses 1891 and 1901. She's buried in St John's Cinderford. There was a Hannah Griffiths died 1897 and 1941. This is an unresolved issue.

Note 2. Emily Virgo. I have her dates and she was a long living person, but I can't find them just now. She is buried down in Blakeney. She and her husband lived in the next house down the hill at Bradley Hill, Soudley from our house, Rock House.
